Like to learn to draw animals on our Lakeland Farm?

Join us at Cowshed Creative on our beautiful traditional Lakeland family farm to develop the basic drawing skills you need to draw animals confidently and to observe animals in their natural environment. You are sure to have a fun day! www.cowshedcreative.co.uk

A days workshop will cover steps on how to draw animals using simple shapes and lines, the concept of gesture drawing combined with observation and basic animal anatomy. You will have plenty of opportunities to observe, sketch and photograph animals on the farm. We will also focus on the importance of sketchbooks and you will use your sketches, photos and notes to create a finished piece of artwork in your choice of medium. You’re also welcome to experiment using water-soluble brush pens.

The tutor, Jayne Lancaster is a graduate of the University of Cumbria with a Foundation Degree in Drawing. Jayne specialises in drawings and illustrations detailing agricultural and rural wildlife taking great inspiration from the farming and countryside environment.As well as private commissions for animal portraits, Jayne exhibits and sells artworks regularly both locally and further afield and has run successful demonstrations, workshops and art courses in animal studies for local art groups.
